who we are looking for

we need a fullstack engineer with 5+ years of experience in building scalable infrastructure from the ground up. we need someone who is both reliable and is skilled at big-picture thinking.

  • Proven experience in developing and operating large-scale backend systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve front-end and back-end components
  • Optimize platform performance and scalability to handle growing user demands
  • Python in a production environment (minimum 5 years).
  • Experience with designing and maintaining large-scale messaging and/or event-driven architectures.
  • Understanding of Generative AI principles, inference techniques, and prompt management (preferred, but not required).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • High level of agency and self motivation, and a proven track record of developing complex systems quickly and independently.
  • Enthusiasm for the dynamic pace and impact of startup environments, with a strong commitment to achieving technical excellence and innovation.

ideal backgrounds are:

  • Substantial experience with our stack: GCP, Python, Next.js, MongoDB
  • 5+ years experience building and scaling backend.
  • Worked at consumer companies serving millions of users.
  • Launched consumer apps on your own in the past.
  • Love AI, gaming, anime, and want to build the future of friendships!
  • Experience with discord.py is a plus
  • Experience in deployment and orchestration (Google App Engine) is a plus

140-210k cash and 0.1 to 1.5% equity
